Winter Sermon Series: I Love to Tell the Story

Do you love stories to hear or share? For next three weeks, we will share life-changing stories in the Bible and explore what stories God is writing in our lives.

February 5, 2023 – “I Love to Tell the Story: The Greatest Story”

Scripture: Acts 17:22-34

Paul’s dramatic life-changing story teaches us that God wants a story of love, not hatred. The greatest part of God’s story is unchangeable, everlasting love for the whole universe. Let us continue God’s story of love with all we can.

February 12 – “I Love to Tell the Story: The Whole Story”

Scripture: 1 Timothy 1:12-17

God’s story cannot be fully shared without God’s redeeming grace. Our story cannot be whole without confessing our human sinfulness and God’s forgiveness through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. Let us make our story whole by understanding and accepting God’s grace that even the greatest sinners are redeemed.

February 19 – “I Love to Tell the Story: New Story”

Scripture: Genesis 16:7-13

Have you ever felt or thought that God doesn’t answer your prayers and lamentation? God has not forgotten the story God started with us. God still speaks. God is not silent. For those of us who are feeling a little alone, if we’ll just practice looking up, we might notice that God was already here. Let us expect and write a new story with God.
