God With Us (and manger scene)

Hope is Alive!

Easter is not a single day of celebration. The fifty days between Easter and Pentecost are celebrated as a great feast to see the real hope that Jesus’ resurrection brought to the world. This seven-week sermon series delves deep into the implications of Jesus’ resurrection and explores the hope that we can experience through Christ who is alive.

April 7 – “Seeing Hope”

Scripture: John 20:19-31

Pastor Jiyeon shares the message, “Seeing Hope,” based on Thomas’ story in John 20:19-31. Thomas’ doubt turns into faith upon seeing the risen Christ. Despite our doubts, Christ meets us and enables us to see signs of hope. It is the first Sunday of the month that Wesley Church has a regular communion during the service. Communion symbolizes this hope, reminding us of Christ’s sacrifice. Everyone is invited to the Lord’s Table to receive the tangible elements of God’s grace for all. Let’s open our eyes to hope, encountering Christ’s presence and declaring, “My Lord and my God!”
